First and foremost, we rely upon the personal experience of the Company's management and network of travel professionals around the world. There is no substitute for first-hand, current experience that comes from visiting the types of upmarket resorts and destinations suitable for our clients -- knowledge that is rarely available from a travel agent or tour vendor. Both we and our professional network spend many weeks each year personally visiting both old and new destinations that we believe might appeal to our clients.

Secondly, we use an extensive library of research materials generally not available to most upscale travelers -- especially not all in one place, right at the tip of your fingers, as it is here at Grand Getaways. We rarely rely upon published travel guidebooks, as the information in these books is at best generally a year old or more by the time they hit the shelves of your local bookstore. We also do not rely upon any paid advertisements from travel vendors touting their own products, or endorsements from travel periodicals that also accept advertising fees from vendors they endorse or feature in any of their articles. Finally, we access the multiple resources now available on the Internet, although to be perfectly honest, today's Internet travel sites are generally not targeted towards the upscale, affluent market. Additionally, most Internet users are all too familiar with the difficulty of searching for and locating the appropriate sites that you seek, and sorting the objective, fact-based information from the multitude of personal opinions that pervade this media. Nonetheless, we make certain to cover those sites that offer destination-specific information which we believe is based upon objective, carefully researched recommendations (from sources that don't receive payments or commissions from the travel industry) and which may be suitable for our clients.
