About Our Clients

While no single stereotype describes our clients, they generally have several characteristics in common. Taken from another view, these features also define our "target market": that group of sophisticated travelers to whom we have oriented our programs in an effort to serve this specific market in a highly responsive and effective manner. We do not believe that we can be "all things to all people" in fulfilling your leisure travel needs, so we have focused our resources primarily on serving clients that typically:

• Are "Boomers" (baby boomers and pre-boomers!), aged somewhere between 34 and 65

• Represent dual-income families, with both partners holding full-time professional jobs in fast-paced occupations.

• May have one or more children, and often want to bring these children on at least one major vacation each year

• Enjoy household income in excess of $150,000 per year

• Have a passionate love of worldwide travel

• Take 2-4 leisure trips per year, with one or two of those trips outside of their native country

• Often seek travel that includes physical activities, "soft" adventure, or cultural and educational experiences--rather than just sitting on the beach

• Have neither the time, nor the patience, nor the expertise to plan their own trips

• Often rely on travel agents to "book" their trips, but realize that most travel agents also don't have the time or the experience to thoroughly plan the ideal vacation for them in a destination the agent has most likely never personally visited

• Don't want any "unpleasant surprises" on their special vacations, because time is precious and spoiled travel experiences are opportunities lost forever

• Want to have one place they can call (Grand Getaways) for any travel advice, help or recommendations they may need during the year.
